Citizenship

Abstract

Originally intended as an introductory class for undergraduate students, this paper proposes an itinerary of theconcept of Citizenship, considering three fundamental moments: its origins at the classic world, its modern matrix,and a wide set of perspectives and problematizations that have emerged in contemporary theorizations. We haveprioritized an historical-critical perspective, in order to allow the comprehension of the theorical and politicalproblems involved in the grounding, institution and projection of the citizenship in face of the questions of ourpresent.
