Abstract

This article focuses on the topic of power. It addresses ten issues related to this concept that obviously do notexhaust its treatment, but offer a broad perspective on what power implies in the social and political world. Itanalyzes how power is presented in social life, its contribution to configuring and enhancing socialasymmetries, its strength in social order, its concentrating tendency and its permanent search for legitimation,its capacity to influence social time and to re-signify the relational spaces, their strength to configure differentsocial worlds, as well as their potential to encourage liberationist processes and community organizationpractices in the Latin American reality.

Doctor en CienciasSociales y Licenciado en Ciencia Política. Sedesempeña como profesor e investigador enla Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR).Además, es director del Doctorado en CienciaPolítica de la UNR.
