Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development.

Abstract

The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development (from now on) has been developed and promoted by the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW), and by theInternational Federation of Social Workers. It is a global platform which fights for “asocially fair world”, based in understanding and in the principles of social work andsocial development. In this article, the impact of the agenda in the internationalcommunity of social work is described, and the effects that it has in daily social work practices are starting to be explored.
