A study on the representations of the body indance and theater (2000-2015)”) which addresses the concepts of Imagery,Memory and Female Tragedy, through the present work, resorts to the ideasthat Walter Benjamin established on the aforementioned concepts. This research analyzes the historical scope of these concepts, which appearin the work of the German philosopher, considering the resolutions producedin the Performing Arts throughout history. Starting from these conceptualstructures we can consider the tragic feminine images, as a surviving capitalthat carries, through time, an expressive load and an indisputable validity.Likewise, and based on the correspondence that is noticed between theworks of W.Benjamin and Aby Warburg, a certain similarity arises in theirpractices of basic elements of a method that could be characterized bymeans of the assembly principle. The conception of Image and Tragic Memory of Benjamin adopts, along withthe Pathosformel, described by José Emilio Burucúa, as an organizationof historically determined sensitive and significant forms, an aestheticstructure of the Tragedy that is inseparable from all subjective and historicalconsciousness contained in it.Key words: Walter Benjamin, History, Memory, Tragic Feminine Imaginery.
