Abstract

This presentation explores the possibilities of an interdisciplinary body that probes the boundaries of its own limits as an artist, challenging possible roles in the traditional scene through sensitive and creative practices. It is a body that feels the need to be ever-changing, nourished by everything around it, shaped by a thesis process in the city of La Rioja, seeking available spaces and infused with resources from the independent scene.
Through interdisciplinary creation, the mutable body seeks to integrate various arts such as dance, theater, or photography, allowing for a flexible and broad approach within the field of performing arts. The body is a point where endless creative possibilities converge, fostering sensitive experiences and questioning traditional structures that confine an artist to a strict role.
A thesis process shaped by the independent scene and the territory, with factors that transform the process into something mutable, and with available resources guiding artists toward creative permeability. They can take on roles such as director, dancer, actor, playwright, producer, or designer, offering a unique perspective that makes creation more flexible, with a focus on space, time, movement, and other areas inherent to human life.
In La Rioja, the need for space is constant; the exploration of the unconventional emerges as a viable alternative. The search for available spaces becomes a challenge for the body to inhabit the scene. The mutability of a body inhabits spaces within and outside the scene, outside its comfort zone, embracing crisis and continuing to make discoveries in pursuit of a personal, intimate, ever-changing, and creative scene.
