New socialization practices in the new reinterpretations and representations of the relationships between the human and everyday technology in anime

Abstract

This theoretical and reflexive proposal seeks to find and interpret new reinterpretations and representations of the relationship, between the human and everyday digital and electronic technology (including ICTs) found in anime (Japanese animation). These arise as part of the new socialization practices of the new urbanity created in anime, whose aim is to transform the relationship between the human and technology. These reinterpretations and representations are thus far from positivist conceptions of an instrumental, developmental and mercantilist style. Rather, they are channeled toward new times and spaces that seek the redistribution of technology and the leading role of the human by building a new metaphysics that values old and new Western perceptions of everyday digital and electronic technology. This proposal is framed within a critical and social research paradigm. Qualitative research is involved, as well as historical and hermeneutical research techniques to support discussion groups.
