Resumen

El pensamiento pragmatista, nacido en Norteamérica en el siglo XIX, tiene como principales expositores a James, Pierce, Mead y Dewey. Hoy, esta corriente retoma aquellas preocupaciones iniciales, dando nacimiento a lo que se denomina como neopragmatismo. En esta obra, encontramos aportes fundamentales para comprender el quehacer del pragmatismo en la actualidad, especialmente aquellos desarrollados en los Coloquios Pragmatistas que tuvieron lugar en nuestro país. En este marco, los editores reunieron en la presente publicación numerosos aportes en torno al pragmatismo actual y las discusiones que en el seno de esta comunidad epistémica se desarrollan, encontrando así una amalgama de textos distintos entre sí, debido a la variedad de autores como así también a los temas desarrollados, pero considerando las intuiciones y aportes de los pragmatistas clásicos, y poniéndolos en diálogo con los interrogantes actuales.ABSTRACTPragmatist thinking began in North America in the 19th century and its main representatives are James, Pierce, Mead and Dewey. Today, this movement recaptures the initial concerns, originating the concept of Neopragmatism. In this work we introduce essential contributions to explain the scope of Pragmatism at present, especially the topics treated during thePragmatist Colloquiums that took place in our country. Within this context, the editors have compiledin this publication a number of contributions on current Pragmatism and the discussions that unfolded in the heart of this epistemic community. As a result, a mixture of different texts is achieved due to the variety of authors and topics developed, respecting the intuition and contributions of the classical Pragmatists, and connecting them with the current issues.Key words: Pragmatism, Neopragmatism.
