VISIÓN DE MUNDO Y APROPIACIÓN INVERSA EN “RECITADO”, DE TONI MORRISON

Resumen

En este trabajo aplicamos la noción de apropiación inversa y la de visión de mundo, en términos de LucienGoldmann, al análisis de la estructura en el relato breve de Toni Morrison, “Recitado”. En dicho relato, laautora se apropia de una estructura musical blanca, europea, y la transforma para dar cuenta de la historiade las diferencias raciales en Estados Unidos en una época determinada, pero narrada a partir de lacontramemoria y según los criterios para concebir la historia que surgen de la cosmovisiónafroestadounidense. WORLD VIEW AND REVERSE APPROPRIATION IN “RECITATIF”, BY TONI MORRISONAbstractIn this essay, we apply Lucien Goldmann’s notion of world-view and the notion of reverse appropriation to theanalysis of the structure in Toni Morrison’s short story, “Recitatif”. In that text, the author takes hold of a whiteEuropean musical structure and transforms it, in order to provide an account of the history of racial differencesin the United States at a given time, from the point of view of counter-memory and according to criteriaspringing from the Afro-American world view in her narration of historical events.Key words: reverse appropriation; world-view; counter-memory
