Abstract

The text addresses the complexity of the desire for power, emphasizing the ethical dilemmas faced by those seeking to wield authority. It reflects on how to attain power without violating ethical principles, suggesting that both virtue and wisdom may prove insufficient for its maintenance. This analysis proposes a theoretical perspective that goes beyond traditional notions of knowledge, focusing on ethics as an issue to be overcome. "The Prince" is mentioned as a key work for understanding an ethics different from conventional morality. Finally, a fundamental question is posed: Is it possible for power to be based on moral criteria in a context that often presents itself as unethical?
