Globalización, soberanía y frontera en el Brexit: un análisis desde la teoría y la práctica

Abstract

El artículo analiza las vinculaciones entre el proceso de salida de Gran Bretaña de la Unión Europea y la
reanudación de la frontera de dicho país con el bloque en el marco de la globalización. El análisis se basa
en diversos postulados teóricos de autores como Scholte, Agnew y Bauman, que estudian la globalización,
la soberanía y la frontera, y de los cuales se toman conceptos clave que luego serán aplicados en relación
a la inmigración como causa del Brexit y al redibujamiento de la frontera a consecuencia de dicho proceso.

Abstract
This article analyses the relationship between the Brexit process between Great Britain and the European
Union, and the resettling of the British frontier with the European bloc in the context of globalization. The
analysis is based on the theoretical assumptions of authors such as Scholte, Agnew and Bauman, who study
globalization, sovereignty and frontier. These authors provide key concepts that will be applied in relation to
immigration as a cause of Brexit and in relation to the redrawing of the frontier as a consequence of this
process.
