Abstract

This article explores some of the themes that underpin the literary construction of La Celestina. The main
hypothesis indicates that the existing relationships between the characters of La Celestina configure a
narrative of losers supported by the negativization of all elements of the work, fundamentally, the negative
perspective on women, as well as the mediation / management undertaken by Celestina through the use of
the word in concrete situations of enunciation. The importance of the pimp lies in her ability to transgress the
spatial limits and to bring the dissimilar cultural worlds closer through the customs of knowledge.
