LOS CUENTOS DE HADAS CONTEMPORÁNEOS: UNA PERSPECTIVA QUEER

Abstract

Este trabajo indaga sobre los cuentos de hadas contemporáneos para niños con un giro queer. Esta
perspectiva revisita los cuentos y cuestiona la construcción de la trama, de los personajes arquetípicos y del
consabido final feliz de dichos cuentos. De este modo, la perspectiva queer emerge como contrapartida del
cuento de hadas heteronormativo y ofrece otras versiones posibles que subvierten la fórmula tradicional.

CONTEMPORARY FAIRY TALES: A QUEER PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

This paper examines contemporary fairy tales with a queer twist. By queering the narrative, the revisited tales
clearly express ironic views on the construction of the plot, the archetypal characters and the well known happy
ending of the traditional ones. In so doing, queer perspective emerges as a counterpart of the heteronormative
fairy tale and offers possible versions that subvert the traditional formula.
